What is USMEX Nearshore?
USMEX Nearshore Solutions is an IMMEX-permitted manufacturing platform in Tijuana, Baja California, minutes from the U.S. border. It runs two independent lines: contract and shelter (albergue) manufacturing, and its own line of protective packaging.

What is the shelter (albergue) model?
It lets a foreign company manufacture in Mexico without forming its own Mexican entity. USMEX provides the IMMEX permit, legal entity, customs, payroll, HR and facility, while you keep control of your equipment, processes, quality control and product IP.
Do I need a Mexican entity to manufacture with USMEX?
No. Under our shelter program you produce under USMEX's IMMEX permit and administrative umbrella — no Mexican entity of your own required.
What are IMMEX and USMCA?
IMMEX is a Mexican government program that allows duty-deferred temporary import of materials and equipment for manufacturing and re-export. USMCA (T-MEC) is the trade agreement under which qualifying goods move duty-free between Mexico, the U.S. and Canada.
